KARANITA a 26m Maiora (Italian made) is a new, exciting and one of a kind in Australian waters, luxury charter Super Yacht based in the Gold Coast.  

She has undergone a substantial refit program throughout 2017-2020, updating her amenities and is now in as good as new condition producing top notch performance.
From the sparkly and head turning blue hull, to its timeless and classy super quality feather mahogany interior, Karanita is a spacious super yacht designed specifically to enjoy the life on board and is well designed for those fortunate enough to charter her offering guest the upmost comfort and elegance.
The yacht provides multiple areas to enjoy and entertain each with its own distinct ambience. From the spacious and comfortable saloon area; to the aft-deck shaded area with a large dining table; to the bow’s comfortable subpads; to the flybridge's generous area afforded with a jacuzzi which can be transformed into a large sunpad with special views all providing a unique and memorable experience.    
Thanks to the new zero-speed stabilisers, the large jacuzzi on the fly bridge and the surround sound music system you will be able to enjoy anchoring in the most idyllic beaches and coves that the Queensland waters have to offer with the upmost comfort, stability and pleasure.  
 
When she is not sailing the South East Queensland waters (home base) – she will be found in the Whitsundays (July-August) and Sydney (December).

MEET THE CREW:

Captain – Aaron Harkins 

Aaron grew up on the Gold Coast enjoying life close to the ocean. After his school years Aaron trained and worked as a boat builder before starting a career and life with motor yachts. His first four years were spent cruising the East Coast of Australia from between Research Bay (Tas.) and Lizard Island (FNQld.). Subsequently Aaron broadened his experience internationally by working for 5 years in the Mediterranean aboard Super Yachts gradually reaching and obtaining First Officer status and Master 5 qualification. Upon returning to Australia with his experience and learned skills Aaron worked in Sydney as a Charter boat Captain before moving back to the Gold Coast where he now works as Captain of M/Y Karanita 

 

Aaron knows the Queensland waters very well and looks forward to showing his guests the best of what Karanita and the Queensland waters have to offer. 

 

Deckhand & Stew  - Cailin  

Cailin is an experienced well qualified yachtie who was born in Cape Town and grew up in Swaziland with a love for water and boats. After high school she moved back to Cape Town to continue her studies and after graduation she decided to hit the salt water and worked on board Carnival Cruise Liners. From her experience on board 14 deck passenger liners she pursued a more adventurous career in yachting by obtaining many yacht training certifications including basic engine engineering qualifications. From 2012 she has worked on board yachts in different departments including engine room , deckhand and stewardess both in luxury charter and private vessels in the Mediterranean and Caribbean waters. She has now settled in Australia on the Gold Coast and is ready to share with you the beauty of the Pacific Ocean as you kick back and relax to enjoy a day out on the water with superb service and breathtaking views on the luxurious M/Y Karanita. 

 
 

Deckhand/Stew & Marine Life Guide : Elisabetta 

 
Elisabetta was born in Italy and developed her passion for the ocean and marine life while spending her childhood growing up in Cape Verde (West African island) where the people’s lives and livelihoods revolved around the sea. She  moved to Brazil in 2003 to study Marine Biology and begin working on conservation projects. Given her strong desire to travel the world via the sea , Elisabetta worked as a tour guide on international cruise liners gaining extensive knowledge and experience of people’s different cultures such that her communication skills developed to  becoming  fluent in 6 languages. 
Since arriving in Australia in 2017 she gained her Dive Master qualification and Masters in Marine Biology which enabled her to work on Whale Watching vessels and as a diver at SeaWorld’s renowned Sharks Bay attraction.
